Vein Removal (Schlerotherapy)

Remove unsightly spider veins with schlerotherapy! Dr. Poulos will inject larger spider veins with a special solution that will cause the vein to collapse. Or, for smaller spider veins, try laser schlerotherapy in our medical spa. The laser precisely targets the vein, obliterating it. The laser may feel like a rubber band snapping against the skin: not painful per se, but uncomfortable. The sensation is over the moment the laser is lifted from the skin. Typically, at least two separate treatment sessions are required. The patient must avoid blood-thinning medications for at least two weeks' prior to surgery and is encouraged to wear compression stockings after treatment.

You may bruise at the site of the injections; this is normal and part of the recovery process. You'll see results in just a few weeks.
