Surgical Fee Policy
There are three financial components to a cosmetic surgery: Dr. Poulos’ surgery fee, the anesthesia fee, and the facility fee.
A non-refundable deposit of 10% is required to reserve your surgery date and time with Dr. Poulos. This deposit reflects services rendered up until your surgical date. Should you cancel or change the surgery date after payment of your deposit, there is a $150 rebooking fee.
The balance of Dr. Poulos’ surgical fee is due two weeks before surgery or at your pre-opappointment, whichever comes first. If payment is not received by that date, your surgery date will be released to another patient. You will lose your surgery date and time and are required pay another 10% deposit to reserve a new date.
If you cancel your procedure within two (2) weeks of the surgery date: A fee equal to 50% of the original surgeon’s fee will be incurred. If you cancel your procedure within one (1) week of the surgery date: A fee equal to 100% of the original surgeon’s fee will be incurred; if you wish to rebook after cancelling a procedure within 2 weeks of surgical date: Non-refundable payment in full is required.
Surgery deposits must always be in the form of cash, check, or credit card. The balance of the surgeon’s fee may be paid via these forms or Care Credit Financing.
If you are having a hospital based procedure, the anesthesia and hospital facility fees are paid to the hospital directly. Please note Marlborough Hospital will not accept personal checks or financing for payment of hospital facility fees and anesthesia fees. Please see your individual procedure quote for details.
If you opt to have an insurance-based procedure with Dr. Poulos, depending on what your insurance plan entails and what your coverage is, you, the patient, are responsible for payment for all charges arising from consultation fees, office visits, copayments and deductibles not covered by your insurance company or occurring during a lapse in your coverage.
Any check that is returned to our office for insufficient funds will incur a $35 reprocessing fee.
