Meet with Dr. Poulos about nose reshaping with liquid rhinoplasty

Dr. Cynthia Poulos is a renowned expert in non-surgical rejuvenation and aesthetics who is gifted in performing nose reshaping with injectable fillers. Since 1995, she has been perfecting her techniques, always staying at the leading edge in the latest treatments and approaches to refreshing and contouring facial structure. During your consultation with Dr. Poulos, she will listen to your concerns, discuss your goals, and develop a treatment plan specifically for you.

What is a liquid rhinoplasty like to experience?

Unlike a traditional surgical rhinoplasty, our liquid rhinoplasty in Worcester only takes about 30 minutes to perform. During this procedure, Dr. Poulos will administer dermal fillers into specific areas of your nose to add volume and create harmony and balance among your features that appear totally natural. Hyaluronic acid-based fillers are most commonly used for this procedure. After the injections are complete, you can resume your usual activities.

The results of your liquid rhinoplasty will become visible almost immediately, though it may take time for the final results to settle. Unlike surgical rhinoplasty, the changes are temporary and last from six months to two years, depending on the dermal filler that is used. Maintenance sessions performed regularly will maintain your results.

What is the recovery time?

After your liquid rhinoplasty, you can expect to experience mild redness, swelling, itchiness, and some bruising at the treated area. These are common side effects and usually disappear after a couple of days, so there is no cause for concern. If it is causing you any discomfort or you want to help minimize these effects, you can use an icepack and over-the-counter pain medications. For those who wear glasses, it is recommended that you avoid them for 48 hours after your treatment.

Here are some other things you should avoid for the next 24 to 48 hours:

  • Do not wear makeup for 24 hours
  • Avoid overexerting yourself or engaging in strenuous activities for 48 hours
  • Try to avoid excessive sun exposure and heat for a week or two

Can a liquid rhinoplasty correct breathing issues?

If you want to modify your nose due to problems you are experiencing with breathing, liquid rhinoplasty is not the solution. It is designed for minor changes, such as filling in indentations, addressing a drooping tip, or correcting asymmetry.

Does liquid rhinoplasty hurt?

At most, liquid rhinoplasty in Northborough may be a bit uncomfortable, though most of this is addressed with a topical numbing gel or cream. Compared to the risks and pain associated with a surgical rhinoplasty, this option is very easy to experience, produces beautiful results, and comes with little to no recovery time.

Is liquid rhinoplasty safe?

This procedure is very safe, especially in the hands of an experienced practitioner like Dr. Poulos. There are many blood vessels in the nose, so ensuring your procedure is in the hands of a specialist is important.

Can liquid rhinoplasty fix a hump on the nose bridge?

You may be surprised to know that a minor hump on the nose bridge can be treated with an injection of fillers to smooth the raised area. While this adds volume, it has the effect of making the nose less noticeable, and hence, appearing smaller, not larger.
