Restylane injections – what’s right for you?

The different Restylane formulas serve different purposes though they are all intended to restore youth to your face in a way that looks and feels natural and soft.

These are some of the options available in the Restylane collection and what they can do for you:

  • Kysse: Lips can lose volume and smoothness over time, but Kysse can bring back volume, texture, and color with a quick and simple treatment. Moreover, Kysse can last anywhere from six to 12 months.
  • Lyft: If you have lines forming around your mouth, decreased volume around the middle portion of your face, or other facial wrinkles and folds you would like to address, Lyft is an effective option that could smooth out your appearance. It can also be used to restore volume to the backs of your hands.
  • Restylane: Patients can use Restylane to address moderate to severe signs of aging that form near the mouth, such as deep smile lines and marionette lines. It can last 18 months or more, depending on your body’s ability to metabolize it.
  • Contour: As the years pass, your cheeks may begin to lose volume. Contour is a dermal filler that can restore that youthful fullness to the cheeks, with a subtle lifting effect on the facial skin below.

Do Restylane injections come with a recovery time?

Treatments of Restylane in Northborough are long-lasting. To enjoy the best results, follow the simple aftercare instructions from Dr. Poulos. After your Restylane treatment, there are some things you should avoid:

  • For the next 12 to 24 hours, you should avoid touching your face, including scrubbing, rubbing, or applying pressure to the treated areas.
  • For 24 hours after your treatment, do not apply makeup to your face.
  • You should avoid heat exposure, including saunas, tanning beds, and steam, for 24 hours after your appointment.
  • For the first several days after your treatment, you should avoid strenuous activities.
  • You should avoid alcohol and tobacco consumption since these can both slow down your body’s ability to heal.
