What is Profractional Laser Therapy?

ProFractional is Sciton’s solution for achieving excellent skin texture resurfacing results with minimal downtime. Unlike full field resurfacing which removes the entire surface area of a treatment site, ProFractional ablates narrow-diameter channels into the skin, covering a fraction of the total treatment area. This action initiates the body’s wound healing response, which stimulates fibroblasts to produce new collagen and elastin, while leaving the surrounding tissue intact for rapid healing.

What are the Benefits of ProFractional Laser Therapy?

The benefits of ProFractional include increased patient comfort, shorter healing times, and tunable results that can range from subtle to dramatic.

ProFractional therapies are typically performed on a Thursday, so that the patient may recover over the weekend and return to work on a Monday or Tuesday. Results are amazing! Skin tone and texture are significantly and visibly improved. Truly dramatic improvements may be achieved in a series of treatments.

ProFractional is recommended in combination with almost any facial surgery – from BOTOX and fillers to a full facelift.

What Sets Dr. Poulos’ Practice Apart?

What makes the ProFractional treatment different from other medical spas is the expertise of the medical aesthetician providing the service.  Each year, our aestheticians receive three full days’ of advanced laser training from the premiere aesthetic laser expert in the nation.  Their review includes an overview of laser physics, Fitzpatrick skin typing, and tissue interaction. As always, Dr. Poulos is on-site and available to assess any patient’s specific concerns or candidacy for treatment.

Who is a Good Candidate for Treatment?

If you suffer from wrinkles and fine lines, acne scarring, poor skin tone, or skin discoloration, the proFractional laser can be a great use to you. Patients should have realistic expectations for their results based on their private consultation with Dr. Poulos in Worcester.

What Will Recovery Entail?

Following your treatment, take care to avoid direct sunlight for about 3 months. You will need to wear a sunscreen of SPF 30 or higher. Worcester BOTOX

My experience with Dr. Poulos was absolutely fabulous. The staff was polite and professional, the setting was tastefully done, and the location was easy to get to. At the consultation, Dr. Poulos listened to my concerns, made some suggestions that were very good, and overall I felt that I was treated with respect. My procedure was a mini-face lift, and everything went well. It took a while to heal, but when it did I was very happy. Also, Dr. Poulos and her staff were very accommodating for the follow-up meetings. My outcome was excellent, and I am considering going back for more procedures. I highly recommend Dr. Poulos for any plastic surgery. I also went upstairs to the Spa, and they were very helpful in directing me to the proper skin care products. I am planning to use some of the spa services in the future. Overall an excellent experience.
