What is laser acne and wrinkle treatment?

Also known as “Microlaser peel,” laser skin resurfacing usually takes less than 1 hour (sometimes just a few minutes) depending on the size of the area being treated. The procedure uses an erbium laser beam, which vaporizes the upper layers of damaged skin at controlled levels of penetration. The laser can be used in two different ways to approach these concerns. The Sciton Profractional, as well as the Microlaser peel can address lines, pores, scars, wrinkles and dyspigmentation. Your treatment will be tailored to your specific condition. The amount of time that you can take to recover is factored in to any treatment plan.

Several less aggressive treatments may be indicated, versus trying to get maximum results with one treatment. The laser therapies are well tolerated with topical local anesthetics and mild pain medication. The procedure removes areas of damaged or wrinkled skin often caused by prolonged sun exposure.

Laser resurfacing can minimize the appearance of fine lines around the mouth and the eyes and is also effective in treating facial scars and skin areas with uneven pigmentation.
