I’m sure like many others, especially in the winter time, you encounter dry skin from time to time on your face and other areas of your body. Maintaining your skins healthy glow is a full-time job, but it doesn’t necessarily have to be a ton of work. You can help keep your skin looking smooth by setting up a daily routine that only takes a few minutes out of your day.

Here are 4 easy dermatologist recommended skin care tips that you can integrate into your daily life:

  1. Utilize daily UV ray protection: Utilizing daily sunblock with SPF 30 or higher on your face, neck and ears is highly recommended. The sun can quickly dry out your skin if left unprotected and in cases of excessive exposure your skin can be burned, which can result in more serious conditions such as skin cancer. It is recommended that you apply a half teaspoon of sunscreen twice per day.
  2. Apply some skin toning moisturizer: Utilizing a little skin toning moisturizer with UV protection can do a lot in protecting your skin from the sun’s harmful UV rays and it gives your skin a nice natural tan glow.
  3. Keep your skin hydrated: Spray yourself daily several times with thermal spring water. This water is very gentle to your skin and is full of minerals such as selenium which protect your skin against UV damage.
  4. Touch up your sunscreen periodically: Sunscreen only keeps you covered for a few hours, so it is important to re-apply and touch-up your sunscreen coverage throughout the day if you are going to be experiencing lengthy exposure to the sun. You can also utilize sunscreen powder, which can be easily applied for touch-ups.
