What is a brow lift?

Also known as a forehead lift, a brow lift minimizes forehead creases, corrects the deep wrinkling that occurs high on the bridge of the nose; improves what are commonly referred to as frown lines; and repositions a low or sagging brow.

Oftentimes patients come to us to correct the forehead drooping that they feel gives them a “sad,” “tired” or “angry” appearance. What can I expect from my procedure?

Who makes an ideal brow lift candidate?

Anyone who is experiencing age-related sagging and drooping in their eyebrows and forehead is a good candidate for brow lift surgery, provided they are of sound mind and body, with realistic expectations for their results. Additionally, patients should be non-smokers, and not taking any blood thinners at the time of their surgery.

What will recovery entail?

Once your brow lift surgery is completed, your upper face will be bandaged, and you will receive ample pain medications. Bruising and swelling will be kept to a minimum by the doctor’s conservative approach, but you will still experience these side effects to a certain degree. Rest assured they will diminish with time, usually over the course of a few weeks. Dr. Poulos will conduct regular follow up sessions with you to ensure your recovery is on track.
